Monkey Business for Gamers

The Monkey (Ceboidea - New World or Cercopithecoidea - Old World) has long been used on boxes and cards. Main reason I think would be because they are associated with fun and mischief. "Is he up to monkey business?" is how a policeman might describe a known criminal. And Blackadder might say "He is trickier to hold than a sackful of chimpanzees" (this was said in the Tudor Blackadder series, 200 years before almost anyone in a western civilization had seen a primate). Advertising has also featured monkeys, the most famous being the PG Tips monkeys. They were used by PG Tips for many years. They were shown in human clothing and were dubbed in English (and lip-synced) whenever they 'spoke' to each other. Below are some monkeys from my collection. The name and publisher of each game is below the images.
